So far... Oh so good!

And is all true…

I am a runner at heart, always known it, but always ignored it.  Truth is I am the daughter of a Marathoner, and no matter what I say, do, suggest… well is been done and better.
I am also happen to be a wife (and a very happy one), I am mother of two wonderful boys (10 months and 3 and a half years), a professional (a naval architect and marine engineer) that actually puts her job into the importance category, I am not going to say that life is easy… hell no! But life is good, life is good to me, life has taught me to compensate, I will not got into details here, is really nobody business, but  I have had my nice share of tears… all well excused.
But I am here, and I am rising as a runner and I am loving every part of it. This week has been difficult to keep up, or I thought so… My parents came from Panama to spend the week with us, my parents are the equivalent of good food and lots of alcohol… so, I was ready to let it go.  To my surprise, my father did not let me. You see he is a marathoner, so when it was my time to say… I am running I automatically gain my first fan!.

I have run in this week more than I have so far in my last two weeks as a serious runner… 15 miles,  I consider this great!!!,  I am a runner, I love to run, I am not sure where this will take me all I know I have been better for the last three weeks that I have been in a very long time.

Its my birthday...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
I am 31 years old today and feeling really good about it.
When I see the road that I have taken to get me here, I feel blessed that today I woke up with a smile, and a wide one, a honest one.
Life has not been easy, the loss of my only brother at 15, followed by harsh car accidents, broken hearts, leaving Panama for college and not coming back which means that I dearly miss all my family and friends have gave me enough strength and hope to really enjoy the reality of my life today: a wonderful husband that I adore with all my heart, two wonderful boys that are the light of life, my parents that fill me with joy, my job that keeps making me feel important and most importantly, today, I am healthy.

I have surely seen the dark side of things, but faith, love, hope, patience and strength come a long way and today, today I feel HAPPY.

TODAY I AM A HAPPY 31 YEAR OLD WOMAN… and I like it.

Oh and I am 5 pound less than last week, which means BRING ME THE CAKE!!!
